
ACADEMY FEES AND CHARGES SCHEDULE
FOR 2026

This document sets out the Academy Fees and Charges applicable to all Hockey Farm academies for the 2026 calendar year. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review this information carefully before enrolling their child, as registration and participation constitute acceptance of these fees and conditions.
For this document, the following terms are used as such:

Academy / Academy Programme - Refers to any structured coaching programme offered by The Hockey Farm, including both the Outdoor Hockey Academy and the Indoor Hockey Academy.

Session - A single, scheduled academy training or coaching activity conducted on a specific date and time.

Single Session - Attendance at one individual academy session, booked and paid for separately and not forming part of a multi-session package.

Package / Package Deal - A pre-paid bundle for the entire year of academy sessions, offered at a discounted rate compared to single-session pricing.

Start Date - The date of the first academy session attended under a package, from which the package validity period is calculated.

Year Package / Annual Package - A package that grants access to academy sessions for the duration of the academy year, subject to the total number of sessions offered and the terms set out in the fees document.

Academy Year - The calendar year during which academy sessions are scheduled and delivered (e.g. January to December 2026), excluding planned breaks.

Registration Fee - The once-off annual fee payable per child to cover administrative, setup, and registration-related costs, regardless of the number of academies attended.

Effective Cancellation Date - The future date specified in writing by the client on which a package cancellation is to take effect, subject to the required notice period.

Missed Session - Any academy session that a child does not attend, whether due to late cancellation, non-attendance, or other reasons.
All fees listed in this document apply to the 2026 academy year and are subject to review and, possibly, change.
Annual Registration Fee
To sign up for any of our academies each year, you will need to pay a once-off registration fee of R380. This is to cover the cost of the setup and administration of your registration. This registration fee is payable once per calendar year, regardless of how many academies a child is enrolled in during that year.
Outdoor Hockey Academy
Costs for attending the Outdoor Hockey Academy are as follows:

Sign up for a single session – R200 per session

Sign up for the year (10 months - 40 Sessions) – pre-pay monthly – R550 per month x10 months (total = R5 500 for the year)

Sign up for the year (10 months - 40 Sessions) – pre-pay for the whole year before the end of February – R4 950 for the year, a 10% saving (one full month free)!
Indoor Hockey Academy
Costs for attending the Indoor Hockey Academy are as follows:

Sign up for a single session – R200 per session

Sign up for the year (7 months - 28 Sessions) – pre-pay monthly – R550 per month x 7 months (total = R3 850 for the year)

Sign up for the year (7 months - 28 Sessions) – R3 465 (R495 per month), a 10% saving!
Additional Discounts

Dual Discount – Any child that signs up for the entire year for both an Outdoor Academy and an Indoor Academy shall receive a 15% discount on the Indoor Academy costs. The child will also receive Hockey Farm membership for the year at no additional charge.

Siblings Discount - A 10% discount will be granted to any additional sibling joining any of the outdoor academies. i.e. For 1st sibling joining normal price (R550), 2nd sibling granted 10% discount, 3rd sibling granted 20% discount, etc.
Payment Timing
All individual sessions or packages must be paid for in full prior to the start of the session, or commencement of the selected package period, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Duration of Package Validity
When signing up for any multi-session package, the following validity periods shall apply:

Year Package – Valid for the entire year, regardless of start date. The package ends after the last session for the year.
Missed or Cancelled Sessions

Single Sessions - To cancel or reschedule a booked single session, clients must notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. Failure to do so will result in the session being charged in full.

Year Package – For obvious reasons, missed sessions cannot be rescheduled. Missed sessions cannot be carried over to the following year.

Refunds for Missed Sessions – Missed or Cancelled sessions will not be refunded, and clients will still be liable for full payment for the session.

Cancelled Sessions – Academy sessions may be cancelled due to public holidays, adverse weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. Where possible, notice will be given in advance. Where possible, such cancelled sessions will be rescheduled and shall not entitle clients to refunds.
Cancellation of Packages
Clients that wish to cancel package deals need to do so in writing to The Hockey Farm office, clearly stating which (future) date the cancellation will be effective from. We require at least 7 days’ notice before the effective date of cancellation as it may affect staffing, etc.
Should you require a refund for any outstanding sessions remaining, we will calculate the refund value by subtracting the value of the number of sessions between the start date and the effective cancellation date, multiplied by the full cost per session, from the amount paid for the package. Note that refunds are thus calculated using the full single-session rate, not the discounted package rate.
Any refunds due to the client will be done, into the bank account specified (in writing) by the client, within 30 days of us receiving the written banking details. Any discounts given will no longer be applicable on cancellation.
